TRACK Trails are an initiative by Kids in Parks, a program that works to connect families with young children to their great outdoors.

Get started with self-guided activities along each Rockbridge County TRACK Trail or use your phone to explore e-Adventures. When you Track Your Adventure, you can earn prizes; a great extra incentive for your kiddos. #TRACKtheTrails

Woods Creek Trail

This in-town trail is dotted with unexpected wildlife along Woods Creek. It's 2.25 miles one way and delivers pretty views, a playground, disc golf, park benches, opportunities for water play, and other neat finds. The trail ends at Jordan's Point Park and connects to the 7-mile Chessie Nature Trail, a rail-trail connecting Lexington to Buena Vista. Woods Creek Trail is located in Lexington.

Foxtrot Trail

At one mile, Foxtrot Trail is a woodsy walk through Glen Maury Park and is also a hot spot for wildlife. Keep an eye peeled for whitetail deer, turkeys, squirrels, and more. Add onto the adventure with numerous other activities, like camping, fishing, floating the Upper James River Water Trail, picnicking, disc golf, and maybe even a live concert at the lower pavilion. Foxtrot Trail is located in Buena Vista.

Skyline Trail & Thistle Ridge Disc Golf Trail 

Within beautiful Natural Bridge State Park, Skyline Trail is an easy .6-mile hike that delivers amazing Blue Ridge Mountain views. Pollinators and wildflowers thrive along the trail. Be sure to visit the iconic Natural Bridge along Cedar Creek Trail while you're in the park, as well as toss a round of disc golf at Thistle Ridge Nature Disc Golf Trail along the Blue Ridge Trail. It's 18 holes designed for every kind of player. The back of the card is a guide to flora along the course; check it out! Skyline Trail and Thistle Ridge are located in Natural Bridge.

Marl Creek Trail

The half-mile Marl Creek Trail at McCormick Farm features the history of Cyrus McCormick Farm and the first mechanical reaper as well as waterfowl. The geese and ducks are at home by the pond, a fantastic backdrop for a picnic or photography. Wander the shaded trail to see what other resident wildlife you can find. Marl Creek Trail is located in Raphine.
