TIME TOGETHER
There is no gift like the gift of time, and we have found a few ideas to help you spend it with mom.
Lexington Carriage Company offers 50-minute narrated horse-drawn carriage tours through downtown Lexington Wednesday through Sunday from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. Book your tour for Mother's Day weekend; a real treat for families!

Boxerwood Nature Center & Woodland Garden is a beautiful adventure that involves marsh and meadows. Look for wildflowers, turtles, and much more. Little ones love their own play space and the fairy garden; picnics are welcome.
Ecco Adesso Vineyards is hosting a paint-and-sip event for creative moms on Saturday, May 10 at 3 p.m. Join Sunny Knoll Studio to create a guided rendering of scenic Goshen Pass. Reservations are required; call 540-784-8121.
Tantivy Lavender Farm is a beautiful place to dawdle. In fact, their annual Mother's Day Picnic Luncheon will be May 11 from noon until 4 p.m. Celebrate mom amid the lavender! Reservations are required via their website.
A visit to see the overshot waterwheel at historic Wade's Mill is always a great idea, especially when there is a Mother's Day Yoga & Sound Bath event like the one scheduled for May 11 from 11 a.m. to noon. Space is limited; reserve your spot.
Rockbridge Vineyard & Brewery will host a Family Fun Day Saturday, May 10 at 2 p.m. Enjoy kid-friendly live music by Honest Labor, balloons for the kids, a vineyard scavenger hunt, and slushies and snacks for sale. Then on Sunday, the Danny Goodson Band returns for Uncorked on Mother's Day. Flights, glasses, and bottles of handcrafted wine and beer will be available. Families are welcome.

Artists in Cahoots is a consortium of local painters, potters, jewelry makers, and other talented artisans. Take advantage of free gift wrapping to give your mom something beautiful, thoughtful, and uniquely Rockbridge.

MEALS
Haywood's has a Mother's Day Brunch on May 11 from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Adults eat for $55 each while kids 2 to 12 are $25. Reservations required; book now.
