The W&L Repertory Dance Company and the University Jazz Ensemble join forces for an artistic evening to remember. In the first-ever collaboration between these two groups, syncopation, complex cords, and improvisation will drive rich, experimental movement that will set everyone's toes to tapping. Set in 1950s New Orleans, the Keller stage will be transformed into a jazz club featuring student composers paired with student choreographers, guest artists creating work to established jazz pieces, and Jenefer Davies, and Terry Vosbein collaborating on a world premiere. Through it all, the University Jazz Ensemble's driving beat will be front and center.
