Thornhill Inn

Thorn Hill Inn

Built in 1792, the Thorn Hill Estate is listed on the United States National Register of Historic Places and is a Virginia Historic Landmark. Situated just two miles from Lexington, the property includes 17 magnificently landscaped acres on a ridge with rolling pastures that are home to a variety of farm animals. Whether taking in a stunning sunset nestled in front of the crackling stone fire pit or absorbing the gentle cascade of the courtyard’s 19th century limestone fountain, “breathtaking” is the word most frequently uttered by guests when first visiting Thorn Hill Inn.

Guest accommodations include The Cottage and the Lodge, which are historic buildings that have been lavishly restored.
The Cottage is the original guest house that features a queen bed, a private bathroom with a shower, kitchenette, a gas fireplace, and a large screened-in porch where guests enjoy picturesque views of the Allegheny and Blue Ridge Mountains.

The Lodge, which housed the original kitchen for the estate, is home to two luxurious guest rooms that are accompanied by a spacious living area with a dining table and large kitchenette. One bedroom features a king sleigh bed with its own bathroom with a soaking tub, walk-in shower, and double sinks. The other bedroom features a queen bed and private bathroom with a combination tub and shower. The living features wood floors and beamed ceilings, with panoramic views of the Shenandoah Valley.

Thorn Hill Inn features modern amenities including WIFI, flat screen televisions, on-site gym and private yoga studio. Guests will enjoy a complimentary full breakfast, which is always fresh and locally sourced. The eggs as well as seasonal vegetables and fruits are all organic and are grown on the property.
