HISTORY
The Wardlaw House, a beautiful large brick house with the wrap-around porch, was originally built by Robert Wardlaw in 1760 and sold later to the Trotter family. The old guest house later housed three General Stores operated by the Whipples, Supingers, and Swopes, as well as Bud Wade’s barbershop and pool room in the back room. Most recently it housed Old South Antiques for about 30 years. Guests are encouraged to stop in the Post Office and say “Hello” to Bob, our Post Master. Send a postcard stamped ‘Brownsburg’ to an old friend or family member as part of your experience!
