Annual Maury River Fiddlers' Convention

Event Description

Celebrating its 31st year in 2026, the Maury River Fiddlers' Convention is a two-day jubilee of Old-Time and Bluegrass. 

Competitions with great cash prizes!

• Bands – 1st: $600; 2nd: $500; 3rd: $400
• Individual Instrumentalists – 1st: $100; 2nd: $75; 3rd: $50
• Folk Song & Flat Foot (each)– 1st: $50; 2nd: $40; 3rd: $30
• Ribbons will be awarded to top three youth competitors in each instrumental category and in folk song and flatfoot dance.
• All youth competitors will receive one free event T-shirt

Additional Notes

1. Alcohol and dogs not permitted in performance area
2. Bicycles/ATVs not allowed
3. Golf Carts can only be operate with Valid VA’s driver’s license and must have headlights after dark
