Date
September 12, 2026
Time (Duration)
10:00am (6h)

Event Description

Spend a day exploring the beautiful, sun-powered art of cyanotype printing using leaves, flowers, and other botanical treasures. In this hands-on session at The Workshop at Timberridge, you’ll learn how to compose and expose your own cyanotype prints, transforming delicate plant forms into striking images in shades of Prussian blue.

We’ll cover the basics of preparing cyanotype materials, arranging botanicals, exposing prints to sunlight, and washing and finishing your work. Along the way, you’ll experiment with composition, transparency, layering, and the wonderful surprises that make every cyanotype unique. We will experiment with both dry & wet cyanotype printing as well as printing on different substrates.

No previous experience is necessary. Come ready to play with light, plants, and the magic of the sun—and leave with a collection of one-of-a-kind botanical prints.

Limited to 4 students with plenty of personal attention. Weather dependent. Rain date will be proposed if need be closer to the date.
