Self-evident Truths: A Reading of the Declaration of Independence Under the Natural Bridge

Event Description

In the shadow of the Natural Bridge the Declaration of Independence will ring out once more to celebrate 250 years since the American Revolution began.

Celebrate Independence Day with a talk at the Natural Bridge itself. Interpreters in historical dress will dive into what led up to the Declaration of Independence and then do a dramatic reading of the document penned by the first American owner of the Natural Bridge, Thomas Jefferson.

This event is free with park admission; bench seating is available for the talk. It would not be possible without the generous support of the Friends of Natural Bridge State Park.
