"In the Thick of the Thicket" is a new large-scale video installation by interdisciplinary artist Joey Fauerso, exploring themes of painting, performance, the body and the porous boundary between art and everyday life. Presented alongside two-and three-dimensional works, the exhibition highlights Fauerso's interest in figuration, abstraction, humor and gender.
A 2022 Guggenheim Fellow, Fauerso's work has been widely exhibited and supported by numerous grants and residencies. She is a Professor at Texas State University and lives in San Antonio, Texas.
