Event Description

Sat. & Sun., September 27th & 28th, 10-4 | $300

In this workshop, the students will learn a new technique for hand-building a ceramic box. Also, they will expand their knowledge of different ways of finishing the surface of the piece by using texture rollers and layering of underglazes. In addition, the student will learn to make a creature using a hollow form technique. We will discuss size and proportion in the class to ensure that their pieces work as a whole unit. At the end of the workshop, the student will have a finished piece, the skills and hopefully the inspiration to continue making more art.

This workshop is designed for anyone with a working knowledge of the basic techniques of creating a hand-built piece.

We make a box on the first day of the workshop and on the second day, we create a small creature for the boxes.

BYOL (bring your own lunch). Drinks will be provided.

Price includes all supplies.

Note: pieces will be fired after the fact and available at a later date.
