Event Description

Hailing from the hills of Rockbridge County Virginia, The Late Night Stumblers play an eclectic mix of country, Americana, and Rock and Roll. Influenced by a variety of artists and bands from Hank Williams to Drive-by Truckers, The Stumblers perform cover songs as well as a healthy dose of original material with an emphasis on storytelling. Their debut album, “Tall Tales, Legends, and Absolute Lies”, was released in February of 2023. The current line up consists of Callum Baxter on drums, Taylor Mason on electric guitar, harmonica, and harmony vocals, Travis Odell on lead guitar, banjo and mandolin, and vocals, Brad Austin on bass guitar, and Bryce Teague on rhythm guitar and vocals. The Late Night Stumblers have provided quality live entertainment for public and private events since August of 2019. With the flexibility to play intimate acoustic shows as well as full bore electric performances, The Late Night Stumblers do not disappoint.

GATES OPEN AT 5:30P, SHOW FROM 6:30-8P PARK IN THE FIELD AT THE END OF MUNGER LANE

This annual summer series is a local treasure. It is so refreshing to attend a Friday night event where family, friends and neighbors can enjoy great local music in a relaxing atmosphere. The concerts are also kid and pet-friendly, affordable, easily accessible and welcoming to everyone.

Musicians take the stage at 6:30 and conclude at 8pm as the sun goes down. The gate opens at 5:30 pm so that early arrivers can meet up with friends to picnic, socialize, or get a bite to eat. Globowl Cafe will be serving food for purchase.

Admission to Music in the Garden is free for kids and current Boxerwood members and $5 per adult for non-members. There's no charge for parking in the field. We have handicapped parking and the terrain is suitable for wheelchairs.

Bring your own beverages, lawn chairs, blankets. Friendly, leashed dogs are welcome as long as you clean up after them. In the Boxerwood tradition, our gatherings are zero waste, so please be mindful and pack out your trash.

In the event of rain, concerts will be postponed. For more information, including “iffy” weather updates and food truck posts, keep an eye on the website and our social media pages.
