Handbuilding Ceramics Class at The Workshop at Timber Ridge

Event Description

Basic handbuilding classes cover the foundations of clay work. Pinch, coil, and slab techniques will be used to make functional items without the need for pottery wheels. Along with forming, different decorating techniques will be used like stamping, carving, glazing, and brushwork.

PRICE: Price includes first 25lb. bag of clay, glazes, use of basic tools and firing. Additional clay can be purchased.

CLASSES: An 8-week series on Monday evenings (excluding Memorial Day 5/26/25). Classes are small so each student will get plenty of personal attention.

LOCATION: The Workshop at Timber Ridge located 10-15 minutes outside of downtown Lexington in North Rockbridge County.
