Lexington has history, natural beauty and culture

Nestled near the Blue Ridge Parkway, Lexington, Virginia, is a vibrant town with well-preserved 19th-century buildings, a bustling culinary scene, and an array of locally-owned boutique shops to explore.

The city serves as the southern gateway to the Shenandoah Valley, with 100,000 acres of public forests, parks and recreation areas where people can connect with nature and enjoy the scenic beauty.

Downtown Lexington has plenty of amenities to enjoy. A unique way to explore downtown is with a horse-drawn carriage ride. Through a narrated one-hour tour, the Lexington Carriage Company highlights the historical points of interest and architecture. The city is also very walkable.
