On April 22 (6 PM, Lexington Library), return to revolutionaries of an earlier era, to discuss the best-selling book by popular journalist Cokie Roberts, FOUNDING MOTHERS: THE WOMEN WHO RAISED AMERICA. Roberts' engagingly written sampler surveys some of the more familiar and influential First Ladies of the Founding Era, while also crediting the more diverse and generally underappreciated efforts of a range of "ordinary" American women whose service to the Revolutionary cause (on the active warfront, as well as the home front) was vital to establishing a new nation.
