Handbuilding Ceramics Class for Kids (ages 8-11)

Event Description

The Workshop at Timber Ridge is offering a 6-week handbuilding classes is designed for children ages 8-11 who are interested in exploring ceramics. Students will be introduced to working with clay through various handbuilding techniques and processes. Through playful material exploration, students will create functional ceramics and sculptural artworks with pinch, coil and slab techniques. Along with forming, different decorating techniques will be used like stamping, carving, glazing, and brushwork.

CLASSES
– Classes are limited to 5 students with plenty of personal attention.
– Students will complete several projects to be able to take home by the end of the session.
– Classes run for 6 weeks, 10-11:30 am on Wednesdays, June 11th - July 16th.

COST
Cost is $225 and includes the use of basic tools, clay and firing.
