ARSENIC AND OLD LACE by Joseph Kesselring at Southern Virginia University Theatre in Buena Vista, Virginia runs March 22-23, 28-30, 2019, 7:30 pm

Spinster sisters Abby and Martha Brewster are dedicated to charity, family, and poisoning lonely, old men with their homemade arsenic-laced elderberry wine. One of their nephews thinks he’s Theodore Roosevelt; another is a Boris Karloff look-alike psychopath. Only Mortimer isn’t crazy, but dealing with his homicidal family, his fiancé, and the Brooklyn police may send him over the edge. This quirky but hilarious comedy was a smash hit in New York and then a smash movie starring Cary Grant.

This show is suitable for all ages. We recommend patrons be ages 8 and older, or otherwise able to sit still. Babies, toddlers, and children 1-5 will not be admitted. Everyone must have a ticket.
